The 'How many cigar bands' competition

How many cigar bands are there in the jar pictured below and which brand is most represented? Rules below, post your guess as follows:

    - 666 bands total
    - 111 Jose L Piedro bands

    1. Guesses welcome until the end of January.
    2. One post/guess allowed per member, open to all.
    3. 2 prizes will be sent out. One prize for first posted correct guess at total number of bands and one for guessing how many of the most represented brand there are . Same member can't win both prizes.
    4. I will only count the primary bands in the jar, the EL/ER and LCdH extra bands will not be counted towards the totals.
    5. Prizes will be a wee bundle of cubans that I will try to pick to suit.

    Hints
The jar comes from my smoking summer house/shed that I have had to clear out as part of our relocation to Boston in a couple of months. Since moving into this house (3 years) ago I have enjoyed a lot of quiet cigars in there with radio/laptop on. I'm not (too) loyal to any one brand but am loyal to cuban cigars. I smoke a variety of RG's and when kept together, cigar bands can easily slot together taking up deceptively little space.

EDIT: If I've missed anything out just ask. Good luck!

    Phil
