Yupp! Habanos White Sticker. Check!. Government seal not only fake, but placed atrociously wrong. Check!.
More in stickers: if they were bought in Cuba, they should have the MINSAP health sticker on the front as well

Tempted to say shade differences between cigar is quite large...but how much do you attribute to just a poorly lit picture?
These boxes normally don't have the greaseproof paper separating cigars. Montecristo normally does the strip of cedar that covers the WHOLE area of the box. It has a cut on the top right corner that is ROUND (not a flat cut).
And yupp, can't tell with the picture as of this moment...

These cigars are also round which is not what Monte 4s are. The typical 4s are box pressed and basically square! And i can bet you 20 quid that on the bottom of the box, there is no date code under the Habanos SA marking.

Bottom layer looks loosely packed, and would the separating item be either greaseproof paper and thinner just covering the bands essentially, or if cedar, wouldn't that be a far bigger size essentially covering the bottom layer?

that's a much more reasonable answer actually. and i'm guessing that the middlemen don't have that information to know that putting stickers on the boxes would actually make them seem a tad more legit. but i don't know.. stickers on or stickers off, they all come in such ridiculous patterns and shapes that are easily spotted now

They think it helps authenticate the story of the "connexion in the cigar factory."
Ya know, the whole: I took a box THEN took stickers and here's my proof.. Kinda thing.

Now. There are MANY boxes with the fake stickers on them as well. But they don't have such an elaborate back story.

It just don't make no sense to me, you understand.
