For me sometimes I just have to buy what is smiling at me. Some you win and some you don't ...all in the game

Cigar inspector I don't really have any set alternatives, I'm open to anything new, the wife is going to Liverpool for the weekend and always brings me back a couple so was going to try the Montecristo D (?22.99) but as you said I could easily spend that on a couple of others if anyone has suggestions. Going to get her to pick up a couple of Cuaba Divinos as I've always wanted to try them and am hoping they will be a good quick smoke for this time of the year.

Another strange coincidence is if it was Turmeaus you were that's were ill be sending the wife to pick up a few smokes this weekend.

Thanks for all the replies guys, they certainly don't seem to have received the most favourable reviews in the past, maybe ill spend my money on something a little more reliable.

I had a box but sold them on a few years ago. However the magic of cigars is that they can come round but they never did it for me.

Never smoked one myself, but I know they have had overall negative reviews. The only positive review I have seen "in the flesh" is one from AyeAyeReviews from last year, where they were pleasantly surprised that the Cigar had finally "come round".

There's a reason why the Monty D's are still for sale :-)

They get bad reviews but from what I remember they have recently been smoked and an improvement was noted. Youtube channel, possible ayeayereviews on youtube iirc, but one (or both) of the guys are members on here:

Maybe not as recently as i imagined.

Anyway, gotta be worth a single for a dabble

With that much age, i don't see why not.
Unless you don't like some old Montecristos (which i'm meh to.. they just taste too similar to fresh Montecristos and i know a few people who reciprocate these feelings), i see these as a decent buy for 1 or 3.

It's a shame too because the Montecristo Sublimes is just as good as a Montecristo Edmundo with 3~ years of age for me. The flavours are more intricate.. but i enjoy it as much as the Motne Edmundo with age. which is kinda a shame.....
