Anything is possible in Cuba?... Si.... Just look at the fiasco with Monte bands over the past couple of years. But many, many things are also possible with online vendors. The two I use are not without their critics.
Hey CV, you should pop into the newbie greets and introduce yourself a lil'

Thanks for the input guys. I feel better now that some of you have found the same thing on your boxes. I bet your right about them finding a box of the old bands. I guess anything is possible in Habana.
JD - I just checked my 2007 box and they've got the old labels on them too. I've smoked dozens of RASS over the years and mine are definitely fine so chances are yours will be too....
Can you post a pic of the bands? Are they the ones with Habana on both sides? Does seem a bit weird but as we all know HabanosSA are very inconsistent. They might just have found an old box of labels and though "Sod it!! Use them."
Standard Band C (c1972 to 2005) - Discontinued
Embossed
I recently purchased two boxes of RASS from Puro. The box codes are both TEB FEB 08. Everything from the boxes to the cigars look fine; however, the bands on the cigars are the older bands that were discontinued in 2005. Has anyone ever seen this before where discontinued bands are used on newer boxes?
It seems strange to me, but I wanted to run it across the professionals on this forum. What do you guys think? I smoked one and it tasted great, but it was my first encounter with a RASS, so I have nothing to compare it to.
