To be honest, I've had better maduros for 1/6 the cost of the Cohiba. I thought I must have had a 'bad one' so bought another, from another source but I'm gonna let it rest a little while.

Will be a good while before the other one I have is seeing the flame Rob.

I do like a Cohiba but could never afford to take the plunge on some of the sticks. I tend to spend ?6-15 on anyone stick as a rule. Budgets have to dictate sadly.
But I cannot fault the Siglo II for the price.

Don't let me put you off Cohiba's Stevey, in general they're a great smoke, I've just got the hump with them at the moment . I've still got a few in the humi I'm looking forward to sampling. Value for money is a totally different discussion as far as Cuban v non Cuban is concerned and is down to the individual.

Agree, although that doesn't make it a bad cigar? too pricey, lacking depth, etc. but I can understand how some people like them?

This line doesn't taste "cuban" to me. Strenght without depth.

Essentially sums up everything I need to say.
Those secretos are pretty nice for a non-Cuban profile with Cuban development. but the cost makes them something to avoid. Bloody shame, that as it would've had potential.

We'll also see glimmers of a Partagas Maduro line up soon. That is something that'll I'm "curious" about (with the connotations of: Morbid curiosity, schadenfreude, and a few other funny words)

I've had a couple of single sticks in the past, one of which was very good and one more recently which was poor.
