As always seems to be the case, I have to agree with Simon. The Punch DC is an exceptional smoke with a couple of years on them.
I also enjoy the occasional Punch Punch - I've certainly not noticed any noteworthy bitterness when I've smoked them. As for the Juan Lopez, as ACMCC suggests, grab a No1 and a No2, neither should disappoint.
I bought a box of well aged Punch Punch and they were terrible. Bitter notes all over the place. Interestingly enough, Dalay Zigarren, a German retailer, did a video of them and said the exact same thing, which lets me believe that it wasn't just a bad box. He owns a Casa del Habanos and sells mostly cubans.
Hi Matt, Punch were known for their Corona Gordas, having the largest range at one time, Punch Punch still available, Black Prince the best IMHO can be found, as can Royal Selection No11 & Super Selection No2 but I have never seen the long deleted Nectares No2. However that's all history & for interest sake. There are only 5 current models so apart from the smaller ones mentioned in previous posts, if you really want to get to know the best of the remaining brand - go straight for the Punch DC. If you can find one with a few years on it you'll be well rewarded.
Hi guys,
I'm looking to try a new brand of Cuban's and I'm thinking of trying Punch, just wondering if anyone rates any of their vitolas? The Punch Punch and Serie D'Oro are some that come mind.
Cheers,
Matt
