Wow, a cigar supplier established 88 years before Columbus arrived in the west indies and via his crew (allegedly) tobacco and cigars were discovered being used by the native population.

So I guess it begs the question as to what they were doing for that 88 years while waiting patiently for someone to discover tobacco? Seling fake flaggons of mead perhaps? Suspect turnips? The mind boggles...

Nah I agree with you, I'm sure they are fakes, and I do believe the good advice of the UKCF on this.
The 'If' Is, if he sends them rather than if they are real!

Would love to get his PayPal account closed down (he'll undoubtably just open another) but need a transaction (failed / fake) to do that.
Then get his web page blocked/taken down, and report him to UK C&E.
One of my daughters friends father is a C&E enforcement chap based in central London.

Really just trying to shut this guy up.

Sorry dude but there is no 'if' here, looking at the pics he is showing packaging Cohiba never produced. These are 100% fake.

You may not be aware but there are apparently more fake 'cohibas' in circulation than real ones.

Still don't really understand why you went ahead with the purchase (I guess you just don't want to believe us and they seem like too much of a bargain) but good luck with them anyway.

NB - IMHO you should keep them well away from any other sticks you have as there is a far higher likelihoods of tobacco weevil from counterfeit sticks.

Just wanna see the back of him really

I ordered through PayPal, so am covered for refund if not happy, only cost ?15, could have got a real stick for this much but am keen to get rid of this guy and his fakery.

If he sends and they are fake, I'll log a complaint with PayPal and get his account closed/suspended.

My PayPal account is registered to my business address (actually a stealth P.O in WC2) so he won't get any trace of me there!

For ?15.00 it will at least give me a good "That's Life" Esther Rantzen type buzz if he is a scamster.

If they are legit, well, I'm luckier than Arran Coghlan!

Fake, fake fake. don't even buy a couple to see, why??? ...100% fake

looking closely at the site this could be a card harvesting site, no real domain address, no Limited company, no terms and conditions, I would strongly advise against any business with these people!!

    He's back!

Webs.com was shut down on 31st August 2023. Find out what that means for your site and how to move it to another provider.

and he's emailing me direct he now has a father in the biz who sends him 4 boxes a month. (Was his brother earlier this week, maybe he's inbred)

Then I got an email from the website above!

They must be legit if they've got a website right? (sarcasm intoned in this line)
It says they've been around since 1404, that's impressive, I wonder if the website went live at 14:05?

I'll take a punt and order a couple of singles, just to prove this ploon is a cowboy.
I'm ordering with PayPal!, who would be upset if they knew someone was trading tobacco using PayPal, it's against their 'Euro' rules (But you can in the U.S?).
If and when they arrive, I'll take it into my local cigar store (seegar & snuff) and ask them nicely to confirm or deny. I'll buy some smokes while I'm there to keep em sweet.

So even if they are fake, I'll get my money back (God bless PayPal ) and report him to PayPal for breach of conditions.
Couldn't I also report him to trading standards or whatever to get his site closed down?

If they're real? So are Jordan's breasts and you wouldn't want to smoke those.

    The story continues........

I'm flying off to sunnier climes for a week, so the trail, and this thread may go cold, but just like herpes, I'll be back.

No way, I've still got a few Fauxhibas from a box split with my bro many years ago. Going to take one on holiday with me to see if it's as decent a smoke as I recall from it's box mates.
