  • Churchill sized cigars

Never smoked one of these and was wondering if I did tip my toe in what people’s recommendations would be.

Any of the Cuban ones and you won't be disappointed. Romeo y Julieta is the classic of course. H Upmann Sir Winston is good as well. Hoyo, Punch and in particular Saint Luis Rey used to do fantastic Churchill size cigars but alas, all discontinued. I don't think there are many current production ones left come to think of it.

I was lucky enough to pick a couple aged RyJs up off here, really fucking good.

If you want some very good value outside the CCs then Charatan or Conquistador offer terrific bang for your buck, 2 hour smokes for around a tenner.

Opus X Reserva D'Chateau if you can find one, Private Selection is a good cheap one.

Sir Winstons and Esplendidos are my picks but can't go wrong with any Cuban Churchill really, not that there's any left.

Best smoke I've had this Summer/Autumn until an Opus Robusto yesterday, so now tied.
