From a personal capacity, I'd hope so! I'd get some myself. Though I would hope he wouldn't come out of it looking bad.
Somebody, not Albert, would be in breach of contract if this were the case.
We'll know soon enough, if people are buying these there'll be pictures or an auction listing with a Gibraltar set of box stamps, or lack of stamps.
To be honest, I don't think it's true, he would have told me. Either way, it's great marketing for him. I'll mention this to him when I see him next month.

There are no plain boxes here. There aren't the logistics for doing that. The cigars have their bands covered with plain bands. If you come from the UK to buy cigars here, to bring them back to the UK, you'll be able to leave the shop with cigars and original boxes. There may be the usual health warning stickers on the boxes. We're aiming to design an insert for the boxes sold in Ireland describing the history of the Punch Nectares sub-brand.

Do we know what the cigars will be?

I'm afraid it's looking like one Nectares No. 50 and one Punch 48. That's a retail value of about 100 euros. I would have preferred two Nectares No. 50 but not sure if the stock will be in Ireland for that.

My plan is to reserve some and come to Dublin and collect. Plain boxes might dull my collector's excitement though....

Cigars for export outside of Ireland are not be plain packaged. These will go on sale in the UK too. As part of the deal, Hunters are reserving some for the UK market but UK sale will be delayed until later in the year. Also they'll be cheaper in Ireland given the tax differences. The price difference on a box of 50 could buy a cheap weekend in Dublin..
