In the main 69 had been fine for all my sticks, bar a couple Aging Rooms. I have had some advice that 65 may fix the issues I had so I think the best thing would be to try those sticks again 1 at 69 again and a couple at 65 to do a direct comparison.

Anywhere between 65 and 70 is perfectly fine, in fact in would always have it a point or two below 70 just to be on the safe side with regard to beetles and mold, just in case your hydrometer is a point or two +\-

Humidity seems like a dark and mysterious art to me. I'm at 69 now but have been meaning to play around with 65 and even 72 just to see what effect it has. I can't find definitive info, just that different people prefer different figures for different reasons.

Isn't the stuff produced by tumble drier condensers the same, mine produces pints of it and it says not to drink it but okay for irons etc

I get my distilled from regaent.co.uk which unfortunately has the high postage charges you mention but until supermarkets etc start selling the stuff its either ionised water or paying over the odds

Can we add the Pro Glycol to the Halfords De-Ionised water? What percentage and is it easily available? Anti-freeze?

Luckily I sell 25L drums of de-mineralised water at work, so taking home half a litre when needed is not a problem, they cost me ?4, if anybody's ever after any I am in Surrey and you can help yourself!
