geez, that's just unfortunate. our local drugsmart (chemist over here ) has them for 80 cents for 4 litres (or 50 pence for 4.3 quarts).
i'm pretty sure you can find a cheaper source of distilled water if you local ones are 4x the price of ours.

Whitsworth chemisits sell a big 4 pint bottle for ?1.99 they normally dont have it in but get it the next day for you from there main storage.

Anyone know any nationwide retailers (supermarkets, chemists that sort of thing) that sell distilled water so I don't have to pay ridiculous postage charges on the web?
