That's a good idea. Ive seen hole punch on YouTube.Originally posted by Simon Bolivar View PostTip until a new cutter arrives, I got caught out after getting off the rig last time & leaving my punch onboard. Moisten the head, then work a thumb nail around in a circule on the head & then remove, the center part. Should find you can remove enough to like a pretty avge punch cut. Done this several times, not my prefered method but perfectly acceptable & better than using a knife/blade in my experience. No good for torps obviously.

Thanks for the offer. If its ok I can pick one up from Sean as he is local, that way you don't have to pay for postage. Thanks again for the offer it was very nice of you and I hope I get the chance to repay the kindness.Originally posted by lestabantam View PostI'm 110% sure it is no bother. If you ask deano he'll probably turn on your pms.
Alternatively i'm on ebay as lestabantam. If you have an account you could pm your adress via ebay? Im presuming thats how you came by the 99p cutter!

I think I will take you up on your generous offer if you're 110% sure its no bother to you? I cant send PM's (no idea why- maybe I haven't posted enough?) many, many thanks for the offerOriginally posted by lestabantam View PostI'm sure you can't go far wrong with a sharp knife or blade, the xikar cutters have a good reputation. I have a palio and can't imagine being without it now, a good cutter us definitely worth the money. Let me know if you change your mind about me sending you a freebie, it's honestly no bother, i live next door to a post office and have a spare cutter or two.

I think I should really, its more of a pride thing with me. The big question is do I accept the very nice offer and hope I can do the same for someone else in the near future or risk a cigar?? I agree its nice to see that there is still good in the world.Originally posted by ValeTudoGuy View PostI suggest taking one of the guys up on their kind offer. I'm sure thy are more than happy to do it and it won't put them out too much.
In this increasingly unfriendly world, I think it's fantastic that there are people here willing to help each other out.
If it helps, think of it as a pay it forward for the next time you do someone a favour. Or just make a small donation next time Simon Bolivar does a charity competition.
