I've got a few apple trees in our garden and it's looking like a bumper crop this year so I fancy making cider. Any hints or tips?

I've never made using apples mate, more shop brought apple juice so can't offer any advice. Plenty groups knocking around for homebrew to have a look at.
Used to make cider when I was young with apples from my parents holiday cottage.
Remember one time making some and sneaking it into school. Got a bit pissed at lunch time given it was 15% !
Don't have time or equipment anymore though plenty of apples and pears that go to waste.
Nice one! I've done a second year batch of elderflower champagane (hey I'm a modern guy) - last year's doesn't have much taste if I'm honest and I'm hoping for better.
The elderflower is from a bush/tree that hangs into my garden, so it's fully home based!
Its turbo cider so from apple juice, this is only my second brew and the bottles were my first. That pint I had left over was better than anything I've tasted shop brought.

I tired this a few years ago...didn't go down well...what did you do after getting the apple juice and where did you store it?
I used to as well...must get back into it was good fun, just did beers but would fancy doing some cider. Do you use kits or from apples? Or juice?
