    Apparantly so...

I was holding out... all the rave reviews, the new PS3 with no games to play on it. I still wasn't breaking... Then, suddenly, everyone I knew (even people I didn't think had computers, let alone consoles) told me how awesome it was. So I bought it. I haven't looked back (or done any work) since...

I used to be a PC gamer for FPS, but I have to admit, playing MW2 on the PS3 has been a good transition. If anything, it's much better. Easy to just 'join a game', and have a static 'account' with your stats etc. On COD4 If i had to re-format the PC, I would loose my stats and unlocks etc. With MW2 I have no worry of that. It's nice

Everyone is on a level playing field too, everyone has the same load times, same graphics, same everything

already signed up for the beta Lee. last big one i beta tested was LOTRO.

Gonna have to somehow either ditch this rig i got or atleast upgrade MB and cpu, cos the core 2 duo don't cut the mustard now.

If anyone mucking about on this on the pc and has a good rig and connection and decides to put up a private game gimme a shout.

And yes this is a pain in the arse that there are no dedicated servers like cod 4, reminds me of years ago being on eof the first adsl people and i had to serve matches on my rig and conn.

Lee Dub since you've just dropped WOW , what you planning on for your next mmorpg adventure (goes for anyone else playing mmorpg's). I've been following the new Star Wars one in development but not too sure.

Yes without a doubt will be playing the Old republic. I played star wars galaxies from beta, right until they ruined it with the new player upgrade. Played wow from day one, but only so many level 80's you can play before youve had enough. Ive played most of the online games available in either beta or actual game. Just tried champions online, but it was hard for me to get into.

Star wars the old republic, looks awsome and my other hobby, sad as it is, is my star wars collection lol , though after years of abuse from my wife ive been selling off a lot of it including my Master replicas sabers, helmets etc I had close on 3000 pieces, though cigars have really taken over everything else.

Im signed up for star wars beta, if you want to sign up visit www.swtor.com

If you have any questions on any other mmorg, let me know, as i said earlier im a sad bastard and have played most of them

I think that's where I've been going wrong Lasc...I've been playing the one-player game and it's quite tedious TBH

its definitely not worth it if you're only going to play single player or even if you're playing matches online against randoms. i played l4d with guys from OcUK forums and got to know em and its been the best multiplayer game i've ever had!

to be honest not too sure with this game but high end adsl line would help, mines only running at 4 meg. As for the rig the crappiest part of mine is the processor cos its only a core 2 duo e6300 (about 3.3 gig), ram is fine got 4 gig of 667 ddr 2, and vid card is ok 9800gt 512mb but i think the processor will cause lag.

What kind of system requirements do you need to host a game? Never really played PC games until CSS and now MW2

Been playing always in a PC online and it depends on the hardware whether the experience is good or not, i have tried some ISP?s and some overcloking to get the best performance out of my machines and got a great gaming performance. PC all the way, i can?t get used to play without a mouse or a keyboard.

Now i don?t have the time any more for online gaming, nor the patience for that matter.
