so, i've been a bit quiet over the last few weeks - work and family have been full on! but in the background i have been picking up some sticks. Some have been some aged beauties care of @RobustoClubHavana and some others from here and there!

so we have some EDRM Petit-robustos from '15, some San Cristobal El Morro from '01, La Fuerza from '05 some Punch Coronas from '99 and some custom rolls (Cuban) with a min of 5 years age... some petit pyramides which featured in the recent COTM run by @PeeJay and some 'Bullets' 54 gauge and a shade over 5"... cant wait for some warmer weather!

All looking good..!

Dunhill Aged Robusto Extras (three of three different vintages), Davidoff Short T and Davidoff Special T! I had some Davidoff custom rolls years ago, and had a Torp i saved for my 40th last year. it was c 18 years old, and smoked like a pint of cream, so swore i'd buy some one day! The Dunhill I sampled a while back and they were really really easy going quality smokes. Both / all are a bit punchy on UK prices... but better value elsewhere...

Looking great! Neither have I shamz, I've got a sancho panza from 2000 that I got from mysmokingshop waiting for the right time. And I did have an RyJ from Spain that must have been 'over' aged as it had lost nearly all its flavour! looking forward to buying boxes so I know their age and can witness the changes!

I like all those sticks, I really enjoyed the Dunhills when I first had one, I think it was the '00 or the '03. the second time I bought one I wasn't all that impressed, but it was late in the evening and I probably wanted something less mild. I'm a bit of a growing fan of the davidoffs too, the custom rolls sound awesome!

It's always worth trying if you get the opportunity, even if its a one off in a cigar lounge in London or one of the other shops. Or look out for some of the splits on here when you get PMs! keep an eye out for robustoclubhavana's splits, he knows what he's doing and I usually if I can afford it try in get in on them.

Yeah sometimes if they are let to dry out and hydrated too quickly they lose flavour, it's a shame when that happens! got a plan for the Sancho?

I've read that before...if you over age some stick...there's nothing to it...

never thought about just buying a aged stick from one of the shops..just find UK prices too expensive....as a one off it would be worth it for a special occasion.
