So had a tin of this gifted and so thought why not give this a try it's a Virginia oriental and turkish blend pressed into flakes topped with honey and then broken in the tin.

Speaking of which the tin note here is quite interesting a Christmas Pudding smell one that has been lit no less certainly very appetising to the nose.

It's packs well and I used my Church Warden for this bowl, it's took a few relights is not particularly moist at all in fact is more dry to the touch.

However once it gets going it was for me a whack of Pistachios I mean not like for like but it's nutty with a cinnamon like heat there is some floral sweetness in there likely complimented and enhanced from the honey topping but it's very much tempering that spicy nut, as the bowl progresses there is a smoky woodiness that plays with the pistachio cinnamon.

The spice is never peppery and again I imagine the Virgina's and honey are helping in that regard, the bowl got quite hot though the smoke never bit the tongue, and I at time did go a little hard though most assuredly it's better appreciated by a slower pace.

The nut and cinnamon remain throughout the floral sweetness tends to fade as it gets towards the end and the Wood and nut and cinnamon pistachio nut profile get stronger with the final third of the bowl becoming more woodsy.

When it's all said and done the room note smell nice very tolerable a campfire woody smell tinged with faint hits of sweet floralness meaning it's a sweet smoke smell left in the room.

All in all a pretty good smoke, I mean if that slight floral sweetness and cinnamony pistachio nut wood taste is what you like then you'll love it

This is something I'd have again when I want something sweet and spicy for me a lovely afternoon bowl much better than the Scottish Flake, Orlik still ranks higher for me.

Now my final one to try will be Peterson's University Flake but not today.

Bijou worth trying if you can get it
