Just had a wee reminder !
I opened it a month or so back with Bill on a Wednesday and we found it almost to overpowering of
    (Sherry that is)
Just had a wee toot just now, and it was a bit harsh, hot and heavy oak going on
We kind of felt it wasn't the best whisky Bruichladdich, had ever made and they had tried to beef it up with the Sherry thing, and over did it
Only how we felt about it on the night let's know what you think

Had a couple of nips last night and really enjoyed it with a little water.

I thought it had a slighly dry aftertaste which I was not expecting. I agree that the Sherry is distinctive, but I have tasted a lot worse, although I think I still prefer the Quinta Rubana from Glenmorangie; especially with a smoke.

Thanks for the feedback lads. I will hopefully get round to trying it in the next couple of weeks with some luck. I will let you know how I find it.

Looking forward to trying it with a nice cigar.

I have actually bought the Fino Shery version for a friend of mine almost a year ago and he absolutely loved it. I havent tasted the Ximenez version but being bruichladdich I have no doubt that its going to be top notch....no chill filtering and no caramel added is a always a good foundation for making great whisky.

Taste it and let us know how it is. Sl?inte!

started a topic Bruichladdich Perdro Ximenez

    Bruichladdich Perdro Ximenez

I recently managed to get a bottle of Bruichladdich Perdro Ximenez. It took a lot of effort to get my hands on this as it is difficult to source, and I was wondering if anyone had tried it out.

I have been reliably informed it is a first class malt and I am waiting for a reason to crack the bottle open and try it out.
Working...
