Smoked the party d4 on Friday night with a kraken rum. Very deep flavours!

I'm not too keen on rums, but the one that stuck out for me as being very tasty was El Dorado 15 year old.

Lagavulin is one of my favourites, love the Distillers monkey66

Bruichladdich Infinity is a good one too, albeit it's on the fourth incarnation now.

Can't go wrong matching it with an Partagas SDN4

Agree.....good rum is a better companion to most Cuban cigars than whisky.

I had an excellent Rum on Saturday - A Berry Brothers & Rudd Carribean XO, 2nd edition. Very nice too it was.

Tend to prefer something a bit sweeter with most cigars than the lagavulin ...although i love it in isolation. Had a wee draw of the 1994 distillers edition last night.

I have a Bolivar Mini Belicosos LE 2009 in my humidor. I think that should have enough kick.

Because of the salty, iodine flavour Lagavulin needs a big, spicy cigar.

Try a Cohiba Robusto...... toast, pepper, wood, leather.....cocoa finish
