    I tried the aldi one last night...Really enjoyed it...At at the price point can't go wrong...I think it was like ?17 for a decent whisky in my opinion.

    Haven't tried either of these yet, but I have tried the speyside and the Highland from the aldi range, very decent for the price, a few of the guys on here have given the Islay a go and have enjoyed them.

    All I remember of it was that it was sweet, it's the David Beckham advertised one I believe so clearly aimed at the more casual drinker. I might pick up a bottle if it's only ?15 though! I had in my head it was around ?40 a bottle, don't know where I got that idea from.

    I'm not a big whisky drinker either, but I got in a bottle of Springbank 10 year old to partner with some cigars over Christmas. Beautiful and smooth, and worked really well with the cigars.
