Who was it that mentioned weight recently? Well done in shedding excess fat. I'm on a mission. Weighing in at just under 90kg, from 98kg, after 4 months of more calculated eating and abstaining.

Got another 10kg to go I expect to get down to a reasonable level of body and liver fat!

Today's lunch. Very tasty salad [emoji16]

The beauty of cigars is ZERO calories. Struggling with sticking to no calorie drinks though. Esp with the warmer weather. Red [emoji485] is still in the frame. Just not every night and accompanied by snacks!

I've lost about 7kg in the last few months - down to around 72kg. Following a low(ish) carbohydrate diet that actually encourages one to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast rather than cereal! Other things allowed include cheese wine and dark chocolate. I've cut back on bread, pasta rice and cereals and feel better for it.

I would love to lose 15 to 20 kilos but I am a very weak person. I've cut down on some food and started eating less now. And I started to cycle to work and back home again. I'll see if it was worth my while in a month or so.

Good stuff. These diets are all the rage now. I wonder if you've actually cut down your caloric intake along the way?

        I'm following the MLW diet.

She says eggs and bacon is unhealthy so it's granola and yogurt with berries for breakfast...

She thinks taking Thistle milk helps with liver function, so I take that with my cholesterol lowering drink.

She thinks dietary fats contribute to blood cholesterol, so I have a relatively low fat diet.

Basically I'm drinking less alcohol, trying to manage portion sizes and stop snacking. So far so good.

I'm counting calories and am averaging 1800-2000 per day. I exercise 3 hours a week. Sedentary job.

Let's see where the next 3 months takes us...

3 months is enough to drop a couple of belt holes. 1 month I lost 4kg.

That many kilos is a 6-9 month journey.

Well, I do it all the time. Lose 10 kilos in a few months, then I start eating like an orc again and put them back on, lose 10 kilos again and so on....

have a look at Tim Ferris, The 4 hour Body. there are some wild and weird bits to the book... you'll see for yourself... but his Slow Carb Diet is suprisingly bearable. The first 75 pages of it are viewable here https://fhww.files.wordpress.com/201...-hour-body.pdf or check some links form his blog; https://tim.blog/2012/07/12/how-to-lose-100-pounds/

it works... Ihavce a 3 year cycle of dropping 3 stones, then eating them all back on again!

                Super Size!

The best diet system I’ve seen is the 5:2 diet system (Google it).

A while back, our old pal Ray Jay lost over 25kgs in less than a year and kept for off for several years now, which is the hardest part of any diet. Pretty amazing, if you ask me.

Fasting is gathering more and more science behind its benefits. Guy next to me at work also lost a lot of weight following these protocols.

The diet that works is the one you can adopt forever.

Right. According to science, it takes a year to commit a behavior to habit, which is why I think Ray Jay has kept the weight off. Also, by staying on the 5:2 diet for a year, he’s developed better eating habits on the off days.

How fortunate are those who never gain weight...

Just need to drop 8kg to get to the 75kg my car was corner weighted with. Or upgrade the power to cope with the extra weight

The older I get the lazier I get! Not drinking booze for 1 year lost me 6kg. I really should do some exercise [emoji605]

Ha! I know what you mean. I'm 10kg down so far this year, one car has been corner weighted again and the other will be once it comes back from the bodyshop.

I feel so much better, though my race suit is a little baggy now.

Dose up on milk thistle.... It helps. Exercise helps too. Plus staying well hydrated.... I had a fatty liver in my early twenties.... Bad news!
