I had my first Churchill last night (an H Upmann). Smoked in the porch (so door ajar and window open) while I worked and then Netflixed.
It went out a few times, so the session lasted maybe three hours. I didn't have any alcohol but - unusually for me - did get nicotine dizzy at the end.
My question - how on earth did Churchill himself, and indeed all those around him, ever work in the subterranean Cabinet War Rooms, especially if you add-in the Capstan Full Strength and the like that would have been on the go too? Then again, they didn't make a bad job of it, even though they probably couldn't see the maps for the smoke sometimes, let along the thick heads!
