Having one of the san juan courtesy of the dames sale.

Since they've got 5 years i thought they must be good to go. Certainly smell great. We shall see.

Sunday treat; RyJ de Lux LE 2013 - what a rich tasty smoke these are, an almost candy sugar sweetness to it!

This rather delicious thing kindly and totally unexpectedly bombed to me by Tomm783

20200126_162024.jpg

My first lancero - I was informed it would take a solid 90 minutes to smoke and the weather being crap I was going to choose something shorter, but this was singing to me and boy am I pleased I picked it up.

What an interesting smoke - from the first draw it was incredibly flavoursome - rich, peppery, almonds...very dense and reassuringly weighty for such a slim thing, drew perfectly though. Great with a strong black coffee, as I tend to enjoy most cigars currently.

Chilled out a bit in the middle, then at the end hit me with such a whack of spice that my lips tingled! Took 45 minutes which I'm pleased with, any longer and I'd have finished Nick's book, which I don't want to end...

So glad I discovered cigars and this forum. I'm bored dogsitting today but my little ritual is an oasis.

Sorry of the long post but cigars are new and exciting for me - so many new ones to try. Thanks Tomm783 - I'm very much looking forward to the other sticks you sent.
Stay smoky

Gurkha vintage 2001. Mixed reviews on these and the brand in general. Must say a very enjoyable smoke.
