  • Job on the horizon

Ive been keeping me head down so I am not tempted to spend any cash after losing my Thomas Cook job recently, but at last I have an interview!! Ive started looking outside the flying industry yet ironically was a jet operator who has made contact. I passed interview 1, a sim ride and second interview to go...

    Fingers crossed and stogies primed...

        Yeah. All the best!

I've just found myself having HMRC changed the rules so work may come to an abrupt end in a few months. For now.

        Stogies primed for ya ....

Sim ride? They make you fly in a simulator to see if you are able to do what you did your whole career?

Do you have to demonstrate your skills, landing in cross winds and stuff?

Indeed, I can see a great celebration for a rare vintage Havana if you get lucky!

                              Sadly yes.

Some airlines even factor your hours, so if I have 10500 thomas cook hours and apply to TUI for example, they might say oh well factor them by 0.8 and that's what it's worth. Cheeky gits. For the same damn job.

As for a good birthday smoke...yes, I shall certainly be tempted ha ha
