    Evening All,

It occurred to me that I have yet to smoke a Churchill sized cigar, looking for peoples opinions on whats worth looking at?

    Thanks,
    Dave

I like an Upmann Churchill - if you can find one with a few years on it they are great.

Churchill’s are rare these days. As Moteyi says the HU Sir Winston is good (unless he means the HU Monarcas, In which case I’ve no idea and they are discontinued). RyJ are good and more reasonably priced (I think of the top of my head). The Cohiba I’ve never tried but are highly rated and I suspect they are good, they are however expensive. The Bolivar Corona Gigantes has just been discontinued but should still be available.

Then there’s a whole load relatively recently discontinued, I think all are highly rated. Basically I don’t think you could go far wrong, maybe just try one from a marca you like the flavour profile of.

Yes, the Sir Winston's were what I meant - never had a Monarcas. The other one I really like is the HdM Churchill - JJ Fox have boxes from '99. If you want to try one drop me a pm.

See now that’s like lots of extra cigars to try... there must be a few DC variants so will have to add them to the list now!

been hankering after a Lusitania but keep missing them when they are for sale

The Bolivar Coronas Gigantes is an amazing cigar. Saint Luis Rey Churchills are also very good.

The Opus X Reserva de Chateau is simply the best Churchill I've smoked

Boli' CG & Cohiba Esplen I would highly recommend but as mentioned, the Churchill or Jullieta No2 have been slashed to the core by Habanos, they just aren't very popular any more n general but I love them!

Totally agree, one of my top 5 smokes I've had and it wasn't even a vintage stick, only a couple years of age on it.

                              Love a Churchill!

Bolivar Corona Gigantes are great - I've had a 2001 (smoked last year) and I think it was probably my favourite ever stick!
