  • Cigars to be taken out of production in 2012

Just saw this info on the Casa Hambug site, it's the list of cigars being dropped in 2012:

    Bol?var Corona Extra
    Cuaba Tradicionales
    Fonseca Fonseca No.1
    Hoyo de Monterrey Churchill
    La Gloria Cubana Tainos
    Punch Petit Corona del Punch
El Rey del Mundo Petit Corona
Romeo y Julieta Corona + Petit Princess
    Sancho Panza Molinos
Trinidad Robusto T + Robusto Extra
    Vegas Robaina Cl?sicos + Familiar

A little sad on the Fonseca, El Rey and Trinidad Robusto, must get some before it's too late.

Yeah, never tried them myself, only the Fundadore(sp) which though hellishly expensive were a fantastic smoke, must buy a box of the Robustos before they're gone.

Robusto T's are great but I think the Robusto Extra is way better, seems madness to be getting rid of both

I've got a box of the Ts to stick away long term but I've never even tried the Extra. Will have to try and sort that out ASAP!

Shame to loose the Tainos too, not much left now of LGC.

Trinidad Robusto T + Robusto Extra screw the T but removing the extra YOU BASTARDS
                            Vegas Robaina Cl?sicos + Familiar

I swear are the people who cut these things total [swearing here] sure i could understand fonseca and the mundos BUT bolivar, vegas r and trinidad come on those are some great smokes with ever decreasing lines (vegas has what 3 regular production sticks left) and your replacing them with what those god awful and expensive trinidad short robusto T,upmann half coronas, the monte open line which is just god awful and they are still making guantanimos and garbage like that has to be expensive to make.

So enough angry ranting from me and time for a thinning of my wallet.

I almost forgot the most awful most revolting most over expensive partagas the series E No2 paying ?20 a time for this nasty little thing and as we get that they remove some of the best.

                            NOT HAPPY

It occurs to me to wonder how much stock of these cigars is sitting ageing nicely in H&F's warehouse/Humidor thingy. No one in their right mind would get rid of something that was selling really well, unless they wanted to make room for, say some more lines or make room for a few EL's/Regionals etc.

I bet there is a few boxes to keep us Trinidad fanciers going for a while until they spring a Trinidad Robusto or something equally wonderful.
