Yep. I'd be surprised if the first two are known much outside of Newquay. As far as I know, the Shaky Jake was invented by my mate's sister. It's really good though and deserves wider recognition. The bright green Greedy Bastard is always a hit with the girlies. That's just reminded me of another one: the Greenie Meanie - scotch and creme de menthe. Alcoholic mouthwash.

I'll go with an old classic: Whisky Sour made properly with an egg white and something smoky like a laphroaig quarter cask or Lagavulin 16. Can't beat it 🍸

                Smokey martini

Been drinking the coffee cocktail a lot lately but its strange as it has no coffee in it.

                    But its simple to make

                    2oz ruby port
                    2oz brandy
                    2-3 dash of ango bitters
                    1 whole egg

Shaken alone to mix and emulsify the egg then shaken over ice

+1 on this, plenty of lemon and not too much sugar too! Then you can use the egg yolk in a better version of a screw driver as well, dunno what that one's called

Quite like a moscow mule, vodka, ginger ale and fresh lime. Served in a tall glass over lots of ice

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

Philistine don't be scared of vermouth or bitters for that matter but hay everyone to there own btw what gin do you use.

And after finally finding a bottle a cr?me de Violette that isn't hitting ?90 a bottle ive fallen in love with a real aviation not just the gin, maraschino and lemon juice mix we get these days.

                              2oz gin
1/2oz maraschino (maybe a little less not to make it too sweet)
1/2oz lemon juice FRESH NOT OUT OF A PACKET
                              1/4oz cr?me de Violette
Home made cocktail cherry to garnish (mo not one of them neon red pieces of over sweet garbage they should be sweet and sour IMHO)

Tabasco is needed in a bloody Mary to add strong heat unlike the cayenne pepper which adds a depth of heat.

Egg on the other hand is mostly for the texture as you not going to get the same texture as a emulsified egg anywhere els and the chances of getting salmonella are pretty damn low too.

IMO try making them without said ingredients and you'll see what i mean.
