    That's what she said!

Having a fuller humi has its advantages, slows down the buying but makes you smoke more!

Is there any logic behind paying a premium for tubed versions just to be plagued with what presumably the out-of-tubers & lid-offers think are useless bits of aluminium? Further, why should the Cubans go to the bother of putting cigars in tubes in the first place if they're actually better stored outside?

Excepting the normally recent or fleeting use of marketing gimmicks, I've always held with the assumption that no-one knows better how to treat their products than the producers themselves, as they generally have far more know-how and experience gained over generations than we are ever likely to acquire in a lifetime .

I leave my lids on. They come with the lids on and are stored in cigar shops with lids on. Why remove them?!?! Maybe they're designed for the occasional smoker who doesn't own a humi and only ever buys on impulse?!?

I think youve nailed it there Steve, i think its for people without humis. We forget we're the cigar nuts sometimes once upon a time the average joe was more likely to buy a random cigar

                This is not right.

According to Min Ron Nee, tubes slow down the ageing process, which is beneficial for long-term ageing of cigars. And the caps should be left on (but still need to be kept in a humidor)
