good morning all,
finished work early this morning! as much as it's 'nippy' outside, it's a lovely start to the day!!! after i have my breakfast and coffee, i think i'll sit outside with a nice bolivar petite corona, just to start the day!!!

Had my first ever PSD4, after all the hype I was very disappointed! It was bland in the first 3rd and only started offering anything towards the end. Did I get a dud?!?!?

For me i am not a fan of D4's. I have never had a really good one. I think i am in a minority though.


Like the Monte 2 it is made in such huge numbers that consistency is very hard.

Many love them though

.......took 1.5hrs to smoke the boli PC this morning, wee puffs out back in between making the breakfast and sorting out soup for lunch and sorting stuff out for dinner!!! lovely........

with regards to the PSD4, i've only ever bought 10ct boxes because i rarely smoke them them!!! at first they were my favourite cuban robusto!!! i reckon i smoke, at the most, 10 a year!!! i find that big gaps in between makes me appreciate them better, plus i find they need a lot of humi time!!! my last wee box is a 2009...... last one i had was around july and it was great!!! these days i prefer the boli RC, JL2 and RASS.....

Sticking with the Magnum 48 and some very strong coffee at the moment. Smoked a couple of boxes of them now and not had a bad one yet. Still reckon it is an underated little smoke.

I've been underwhelmed with the last ones I had TBH (about four left and will be putting another year on them for comparison), which is a shame as a couple of year ago, all the ones I had smoked, and tasted, great.

Please tell me more, amigo. I was/am a big fan of the Boli Bonitas in the morning and still have a box buried somewhere in don TJ's massive unit, but I can't remember ever trying the petit corona.


So, how do you like them as a "morning" puro?

hey tj....... usually i don't smoke cigars in the morning, and certainly never bolivars, lol!!! this was great, a wonderful peppery, spicey (cinnamon and nutmeg), honey, chocolaty, coffee flavoured, chewy smoke that i nubbed the hell out of!!! best of all, it was from a 2012 box that i bought on the recommendation from the guys at friends of habanos!!! seriously recommended mate:

For me i am not a fan of D4's. I have never had a really good one. I think i am in a minority though.

I think I might be with you on this... will try age a few and give them a second chance though.. Maybe I am underwhelmed because i've been smoking mag 48s which are glorious!

Serie D No4's just don't do it for me either, i have one left in the humi and as long is it's there, i'll not be buying anymore, too soon.
Now the Serie P No2, that's a different story, cracking smokes imo and a must have in the humi
