Our apologies but we have moved the UK Big Smoke back one week to August 10th. This allows us to present a Cuban roller from Habanos, adding yet another dimension to the day. We will be offering our guests the chance to buy a custom rolled Robusto, made in front of their eyes for ?5 a stick. Pretty special.

Alongside the roller, there will also be included in the ticket price:

• Live music - a great blues and party set by Steve Ajao
• Unique Limited Edition Dunhill Cigar made exclusively for this event and presented to each ticket holder
• Dark n Stormy Cocktail
• Rum Tasting

UK Big Smoke: Saturday August 10th. Cuban Ticket Details

Folks here are the details of the Cuban Ticket. Its a great pack and offers a couple of sticks that I really do enjoy.

• Cohiba Piramides Extra
• Montecristo Open Eagle
• H. Upmann Robusto Limited Edition 2012
• Ramon Allones Petit Belicosos UK Regional Edition 2012

The Cohiba speaks for itself - a massive 6.2" x 54 from Cuba's flagship brand. A big stick for the Big Smoke.
The Monte is a real favourite of mine - as I get older, I like light to medium smokes and I find this newish Monte really hits the spot as its blended to be lighter than a standard Montecristo. Another big stick at 5.3" x 54.
Our Limited Edition Upmann is a pleasure to smoke. At 4.8" x 50, its wrapper is darker than other cigars in the Upmann stable and this robusto delivers an interesting and very satisfying variation on the classic Upmann taste.
The regional edition on the ticket is from Ramon Allones. Much loved by Mark who runs La Choza on the weekends, a lighter wrapper on this 5" x 52 cigar hints at the smooth, medium full smoke.

When you buy the Cuban Ticket, you will also receive:

• Free Dark n Stormy Cocktail
• Free Rum tasting session
• Special Limited Edition Dunhill cigar, custom blended exclusively for the event.
• Access to all other aspects of the day including Beer Matching, live music, charity auction, presentations and other events.

Also the first 40 purchasers wll be offered the chance to buy a Robusto, hand made on the day by a roller from Habanos SA for just ?5.

Great news - we were going to have real trouble making the 3rd, but the 10th is clear. Now I just need to arrange baby sitters and get our tickets booked!

Quick edit - just realised that this is the date of my Stepdaughter's Hen night. I have let her know about the event as I think it would be a good start to our evening.

Call for lots

Dear Friends,

We are holding a charity auction and raffle during the UK Big Smoke event this year.

We thought it would be a great opportunity to make a little difference during our communal day of fun and great smokes.

We are making the call to both industry and individuals to see if you are able to contribute anything that we could auction or raffle on the day. We envisage these to be cigars, accessories, alcohol and anything else that will appeal to the cigar smoking community.

We will accept any donation, big or small.

A few considerations:
1. Please only send something people may want
2. Dependent on the lots received we may auction or raffle items (on or off-line) to maximise the fun and fundraising
3. Please clearly state what the lots are (if not obvious). Please email us at bigsmoke2013@btinternet.com and let us know what you have sent

Unfortunately the wedding I'm going to on the 3rd means my travel budget for August is already taken up so unfortunately, I can't make it.

We will be offering 2 different New World Tickets to this years UK Big Smoke

The first of these is the New World Best of the Best ticket offering 3 multi award winning cigars:
