  • Has anyone tried a sancho panza belicoso

I'm trying to find out if anyone has tried a Santa panza bellicoso as I'm looking for a cigar like this to use as a regular smoke. I love montecristo no.2 and have some in my humidor that I got from cuba which I was trying to age but it has been too tempting and I have smoked a few so was gonna maybe get these to smoke while I store the montys any thoughts or suggestions of other cigars of similar price would be appreciatiated. Thanks

Yes the SP Belicoso, is very rustic looking, imo a milder cigar and easy on the palette, offers some great flavours and that classic cuban tobacco note, for me, its a superb cigar to have in the humidor...

I've not posted for a while but this one has me interested.
I'm an SP fan. I agree they are quite mild but the Belicosos I have smoked have produced lots of pale smoke and have been a really enjoyable 90 mins or so.

I'd recommend them but not if you want a powerhouse.

These cigars are great. But if your taste is for monte 2 you might be better off with romeo belicosos or bbfs

Thanks for your reply I've read a few reviews and like the sound of these cigars and want to get some. Do they need aged or can you smoke from the box? Where would be the best place to buy them?

This really depends on how old the box is AG.

If you are a fan of monte no2 then I would definately recommend you try Diplomaticos No2s. Often referred to as a poor mans Montecristo, they are a good ?4 cheaper per stick in my local shop, but for me they hold their own against the montes. A really enjoyable, consistent and sweet smoke in my opinion.

Click the Cgars banner at the top of the page. They should have some I'd imagine.

It might also be good to pop over the the Newbie Greets section and introduce yourself AG.

But to actually answer the question you originally asked, yes I have tried SP Belicosos and I have always found them to be a great smoke. Pretty sure they were the first Belicoso I tried, and I remember being impressed by them and wanting to smoke more.

I am a huge Monte No2 fan so I would have to say no. But trust me they can be a suprisingly good smoke. Especially for the price. They are only a couple of pounds more than a Petit Edmundo. You are getting a fantastic smoke for the price.
