Hoyo grand epicure at last. And got to smoke inside at my mates listening to great tunes. Bit uneven burn and could maybe do with some age.

Exactly what I trhought Jon, needs age but pretty sure it'll come good.
Had a good meal onboard, Venison main course & to follow by first smoke of 2014, a Trini Short T Robusto; with a tin of shandy fresh from today's supply boat. Rather splendid smoke, even had to remove the 2nd label as it never went bitter, wish I had a few more of these.

It was very enjoyable but it felt like it just needed rounding off on the edges. I had had a few so my memory is not 100% on it but I remember it was a more powerfully flavour than the other epicures.

Not a good day today weather wise, humidity in the garage is 92% and there's a drip from the roof but I sat it out with another from my American sampler, a Bering Corona Royale. The burn was perfect but the taste let it down.

It's my birthday New Year's Day so had a Boli Petit Belicosos 2009LE as a treat, cracking cigar, and a very practical size.

Strong, smooth, rich, plenty of bitter chocolate and cedar notes. It gradually built in strength but never harsh. Excellent smoke!
