  • Cohiba Behike 52

Here's a crack at a quick review for the Behike 52, I have to admit I'm a fan of Cohiba's as a whole and was quite excited to try this one.

Top quality, superb construction, had a very smooth pale wrapper hardly any veins and the pigtail looks great, almost a shame to cut it off! Not such a fan of the band, little to flashy but very smart nonetheless.

Rich savoury smoke, pepper and spice throughout. Smooth, strong yet refined. Not much in the way of the sweeter honey type notes I get from the robusto or siglo, certainly an after dinner cigar but one to savour.

Not experienced enough to discern whether the "medio tiempo" leaves made a difference but it was certainly rich and fairly intense. The burn was excellent and needed no correction, the draw firm but very good. Volumes of pale grey smoke and a lovely aroma.

This was a single from the UK, but brought a box back from Cuba so will wait a few years before having another look. Definitely a special occasion cigar,
not tried 54 or 56, due to the size and mainly the enormous cost!

    Cheers!

Did you notice an increased nicotine hit from the blend?

Yes, I did find it fairly strong but not overpowering, particularly into the 2nd half. I assumed it was because they are still fairly young? I don't intend opening the box for another 18 months or so, (Jul 12)

Nice review, thanks. I personally like the band. I had a 54 and it was fantastic!

I think the medio tempo leaves are added to boost the nicotine content.

Do they put them in any other cigars or is it just the Behikes?

Can't answer that one but the 56 has twice as much as the 52 and 54

Few NC's do and you may find some in cuban's before they started using them in the BHK as they just lumped them in with the ligero leaf.

                      Nice little review.
I find them a real treat when paired up to sweet sweet liquor.

The Robusto is my "go to" favourite Cohiba, closely followed by the Siglo IV, I'd recommend giving those 2 a go to get a good idea about the brand.

Esplendidos and Siglo VI are great but they're a good deal more money!

Nice little review! the 52 is probably my favourite cigar, I had a 54 recently and the 52 blew it out of the water.

Nicotine wise I consider myself fairly sensitive to it being a none cigarette smoker and I can't say I noticed any side effects at all.

Like it's been said shame about the price, but the price of quality
