Perdomo ESV 1991 Vintage ? Phantom

Was quite impressed with this smoke even though it was several ring gauges bigger than I usually smoke. Don't know how old it was, but I've had it for three years. Earth/honey/cedar profile punctuated with sweet notes of garden peppers, beetroot and light spices. I had intended to review it, but had managed to give myself a fat lip this afternoon [lifting a bike from the boot of my car] so smoking felt a bit wierd.

I had a good 40 minutes at night and didn't want to waste an 8deg Centigrade day here in Toronto.

Finally finished the a fiver of Maurdo 5 Secretos....
The only secret thing about these were their age. But i could guess it though: TOO YOUNG
Still enjoyed the bastard despite that. This is one cigar that needs a good 30second MINIMUM pause between puffs. And needs a light puffing pattern.

Finished off the night with a good ol' tipple of Talisker 10YO to move my lips to a peaty heaven.
They ended up in the ocean and being salty instead though
Best enjoyed with Pink Floyd's "Meddle" (here's echoes!). Sure reminds me of the ocean. Can taste AND hear it with Talisker and "Echoes"

Now i'm left with a 15 Secretos box split from a 25 box that i'm keeping for at least a year before i smoke em. This one i feel was wasted as i didn't nurse the third third as well as i could've......

I know a B&M beside my house with good 3YO secretos. They're 19.95+ 13% tax which is around three times more expensive than what i did pay for mine. But i might get it if i want a good aged Secretos

No, once I've posted them they're binned .... and they're all in the archive here anyway.

That ash could have held longer .... two tap off would have done .... but I get bored and look for something to do, and sometimes ash my cigars unnecessarily.

That is the problem with smoking alone, much more fun in company.
