after 9 drinks and further smokes 1 large in menu price with live band play from 9-30 ish till 12pm

a bit more interest for you guys myself and simon bolivar have just purchased a 200 stick batch of smokes from adeuk as he is giving up

and are prepared to sort some of them into lots to be auctioned at the dinner

now i know Adeuk very well and his sticks are the best money can buy all aged and vintage smokes and very well maintained

as a tempter to get you along to this event here are the photos

I am collecting them on monday to have a sort out

This is what ade has said about them

A mix of late 70s Romeo PCs and coronas
Mixed Cohiba reserves and even a 2000 piramide
Mix of 01 and 04 Espis and others incl 8 04 trini colonials a Cuaba diademas and a mystery 80s ? Diademas
Very very old, but very smokeable. Davidoffs and even an Upman Jar and one of CA's 1800s. The very old NCs were from CA ( Andy)
Late 1920s Cuban ands bunch of NCs
        Various specials, humidor included
Right hand of drawer , overlap is obvious but there are exactly 100 cigars in the two photos ( the drawer contents ) None after 2005 , a lot are much much older.
First photo left hand side of drawer

these are ades comments so you canmatch thecomments to the photos

back laters with more info but please put on a nappy if you are going to we yourself over the photos

I think I will have to shed a tear when the last stick leaves my house on Monday, but at least they are going to people who will appreciate them.

I'd kept these back (with about another 200) when I sold the collection this time last year. I purposely kept the descriptions short as there are some real gems hidden in the photos and I'm sure that some of you will have already spotted a few.

I didn't have the nerve to ask anything at all for the NCs as they were nearly all sent to me as bombs by well meaning friends (probably including Martyn and Simon) trying to convince me that I could enjoy them as much as Cubans

Hope you have a great night

Some great ideas there, just to say Martyn & I will be taking our pick of these cigars as we're paying up front. So don't set your heart on any particular stick. But we have agreed, as Ade wished, to be nice & let other members have the chance to sample some of his amazing collection. There are no bad ones here so I am sure there will be many looking fwd to having their first truely vintage smoke

Yep about 6 years ago, being constantly nagged by my daughter who had endured a tough time after losing her brother, I promised that I would give up on my 50th birthday, if she stopped nagging in the meantime

It dawned on me this time last year that I should perhaps start to work at moving a few thousand Cubans...remove all and any temptation by the 12th Feb.

I don't care at all about giving up cigarettes, but I will miss the Cubans and everything and everyone associated with the hobby

Daughters eh? I have never encouraged my daughter to smoke (& she doesn't) but I managed to get her trained to keep all my humis in tip top condition whilst I am away, paid her ?20 a month to do so. So she has an invested interest that I don't give up But then I am small beer compared with the amount of fine sticks that Ade managed to set fire too!

I really hope you don't regreat it in future Ade, have you broken the news to Joan at Gestos? Guess you'll have to fill the void with another hobby. As Jack Nicholson was reported to have said, the only way to get rid of one bad habit is to replace it with a worse one
