For sure, though the cynic in me reckons that more than the lions share of the profits will be going directly to the USA.

Im loving the corvette too, I really think the American motor trade has hit its stride over the last decade or two and is pumping out some great cars that have really distanced themselves from the jelly suspension none cornering beasts of yesteryear.

The corvette these days is absolute testament that nigh on super car performance doesn't have to cost ?150k and come from Italy or a limited run small scale British engineering firm. I just wish they had more of a presence over here along with things like the Camaro, Challenger, Charger and Mustang.

More than likely only watching the cigar safari video the other day and they do seem to be regenerating the area around the factory

Yes, have collected them since '75. Started the local MG club and the annual All British Car Day which is now in its 34th year.

PeeJay. Dropped more ashes than I can imagine but never burnt a hole. One can easily be cleaned and the other repaired. Not worth worrying about.

When I was growing up a local guy used to rebuild midgets and they were things of beauty. He ended up selling a few and buying an Aston DB5 shell from a barn find. Jeez I wish I had pictures of that DB5 when he was finished, he did everything imaginable himself including panel beating. Considering he was a working class mechanic, that DB5 must have been worth close on a 100k by the time he was finished with it.

I would probably cry if I saw what it was worth now.

Yesterday I was at the doctors for a cataract and the doctor saw the MG on my jacket and asked if I had one. Then he told me almost the same story you just wrote. He had a 1965 in perfect condition Aston Martin and his wife made him sell it about 15 years ago. He got U.S. $50,000. Today the car is worth upwards of $500,000. He's kicking himself (as his wife probably is too).

Well, thanks I guess, don't know how to take that because starting a car club is much less work than starting a cigar forum and keeping it popular. Wish my wife would just make that statement once though.

Thank you for the kind words but I've never left. I visit just about everyday. I am no cigar aficionado though so there's not much input that I can give to people here, especially on Cubans.

BTW, I posted this video on Facebook last Monday when I took that drive mentioned in my first post in this thread. At the very end you can see the reflection of my cigar in the tachometer (at 1:55).

You will need a Facebook account to see the video but it kind of shows what I like about top down driving.
