Have you tried Pink Pigeon Rum? It tastes of vanilla. Nice in small amounts, very sweet.

Berry Brothers stock it. Along with some really nice small batch gin brands.

Berry brothers are a bonded warehouse and wine merchants. They have a place in Basingstoke but I assumed they were national as they have some products in Waitrose.

Will look them up, I'm always looking for merchants who might have unusual or rarer stuff!

                Mmmm Rum

I had the pleasure of trying the diplomatico single vintage 2000 yesterday. Quite surprised to see it in a coffee shop in borough market Central London. The Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is by far my favourite rum (when I don't want a mixer!) so I was eager to try it when I saw it advertised on the whiskey exchange website. It was extremely smooth, but like the rums in the range it is very sweet, so may not suit all tastes. Was it with the ?10.50 for a 35ml measure, possibly. A bottle of it is definitely going my birthday wish list!

Absolutely agree! The two Havana clubs are my other two favourites. The 7 year is my 'go to' with coke. I have tried the dark Brugal but not seen the reserve. Nice?

The best way! I just "invested" in some whiskey stones to cool without diluting. Using them for the first time tonight.

Yes, from John Lewis, got some gift card credit left over from my wedding. They have been in the freezer for 24hrs and not impressed with the results, can't really notice very much difference. Will investigate.

They probably work better than the stones did!
