Talisker is a true great in my book, I don't think they put out a bad product... At least that I have tried.
    And
The Mortlach reminds me of Christmas.

One of my favourite Distillery Taliskers is great, the mortlack on the other hand was an instant hit with me but I have little experience with this distillery outside the 15yr offering, just hard to locate here Edmonton

I've always been a rum drinker but whiskey is slowly taking over with me.

Next booze purchase will be laphroaig.
Did plan on getting that last time but went for a budget option Whyte & Mackay 1litre for ?14 in Sainsburys.

Have you tried Laphroaig before? It's a bold choice if you haven't! If you have and you like it... Then try Ardbeg, it's like Laphroaigs dad in the Peat stakes.

I have tried it...quite a few times, love it. Don't think I've had Ardbeg.

Laphroaig is a favourite of my dads, grown into a favourite of mine.

+1 on the Laphroaig. Got a bottle of quarter cask and a bottle of the 18yo. Both great. Ardbeg also a favourite. I have an Uigadhail open and unopened boxed bottles of the 2010 Supernova and Ardbog. Both already starting to become hard to find...

If your an investing man, the Supernova and Ardbog are going to be worth an arm and a leg in a decade and will just keep going up!

The Supernova in particular I'm expecting to be stupidly expensive in time.

On the other hand.... You could drink it! It's probably what I would do. Hahaha

                        Loving the whiskes all

My favourites are Lagavulin 16 & Distillers Edition, my go to Ardbeg is Corryvreckan. Non peated would be Dalmore 15 and Dalmore Valour (picked up at the distillery last year, it's a triple wood and quite different. Started in Bourbon cask, then a sherry, finished for a short time in a port cask).

I've dipped my toe in Bourbons too, but started at the high end with a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle, I'm cherishing the final drop of that. Eagle Rare is pretty tasty along with Elijah Craig.

I'm on a real Laphraoig kick at the moment. Bottle of 12 year old open, bottle of quarter cask for a special and a bottle of triple wood which I'm going to open either on my stag or the night before the wedding. With a good cigar, of course!

Funnily enough my other bottle is a Tallisker, always pleasant. Used to be a big Glenlivet man but its not scratched the itch in a while apart from the Nadura which is still a lovely, over priced dram.
