Can we have a recap of exactly what the plan is now that we have decided to move forward with this? I'm really looking forward to this now.

We get a list of players, we all pay ?10 + postage to the "Host". The host sources and sends the group an unknown cigar (band concealed in package). We all smoke and update that months thread with our thoughts, once everyone has posted or on an agreed date we reveal the cigar and it's cost.

After 3 months the "Host" changes to someone else.

Each month ideally there will be a growing "Pot" of leftover funds which will be openly advertised at the top of each months thread, at the end of a set period or when the "Pot" is big enough there will be a special additional purchase.

Addition (just a thought): Depending on numbers eg if we are well over 10, it may be worth buying a 25 box and then if anyone particularly likes that months smoke they can buy the remains of the box (at cost) after splitting.

I can be first host if nobody else wants to volunteer, though I would actually prefer someone else does it because I'm not the most organised person.

Just until we get into this month by month is cool but I think if it runs longer quarterly is better as it cuts the hosting work considerably.

Hey Marc, yes, I'm just looking to adjudicate in case things get messy which I'm sure they won't.

On the old Club Havana forum we had a very slick setup whereby, once a month someone would buy a box (or 2) and split it between all the participants. The buyer was on a rolling basis. We had a maximum price of around ?10-12 per stick and each recipient would get three sticks each.

Obviously you lads would set how many sticks you'd want to receive per month based on budget
