  • Which Vegas Robainas?

Having never smoked a single VR, which are the ones to go for?

Whilst I understand I may enjoy something the majority don't or vice versa, are there any to be avoided as an introduction to the brand?

I may just grab the sampler i've seen which includes:

    - Vegas Robaina Unicos
    - Vegas Robaina Clasico
    - Vegas Robaina Familiar
    - Vegas Robaina Famosos
    - Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro

I have smoked Clasico's and thought they were decent.

Big praise indeed Marc! As soon as I saw the title of this thread I knew the answer, any of them & all of them. The classicos & the Unicos are the strongest so you might like to try the Famosos or DA first but I love 'em every one, try & get a few before the deletions make it harder to find them.

Had an aged Classico earlier in the year and it was beautiful, very mild but a delight. Never had any of the others though

I've heard good things about the Don Alehandro. I've got one in the humi but I only really smoke DC's at herfs on when I have plenty of time.

I was thinking of getting a box. When I do cigar of the month I might see what prices are like.

That's the trouble Dunc .... 2+ hours outside for most of us .... not always conducive or easy.

Too true my friend. I've smoked two dc cigars. One lusti at a herf. The other a punch in two parts when I was new to cigars.

I've got 5 '04 Don Alejandros in my humi.
All of which have not been even glanced at by me for a bloody while.
Month back, I chose the bloody '12 classicos over it.

But I think the best option should be the Unicos. If it wasn't for the World Cup, Smokin_E would be on here agreeing with me.

Have tried them all and loved them all! Something about VR which always seems to hit the spot for me - which makes it a terrible shame that I so often overlook them when deciding on my next smoke. I'd probably go with the Famosos as a good introduction to the marque, an excellent cigar in every respect.
