A fellow member of the front row union!

Nothing beats the thrill of playing front row, flirted with the back row once, missed the physiological battle so never played anywhere else after that.

My wife could never understand why I felt so great about being battered and bruised on a Sunday morning. The way I used to explain it was the less I can move on a Sunday the better I played on a Saturday!

I am indeed a union man - no choice coming from Gloucestershire - the county which football forgot.

I do miss playing - I have the occasional run out, but am too busy at weekends to be a regular at the old boys club. Full-back myself (having slowly migrated from hooker, to inside centre, to fly half, to full back... Perhaps the ultimate utility player! Haha!) Had a few years refereeing too, which was jolly good fun, and had me involved at a far higher level of senior rugby than I could have achieved as a player).

Does that make you a very lightweight centre or a well build fullback?

It's probably fair to say that I'm a fairly heavy set full-back! (In the grand scheme of things). Deceptively quick though - which means I'm just as slow as you'd imagine, but I read the game well, so only have to cover half the distance... Haha.

All this sounds eerily familiar. Loosehead here, and cracked vertebrae and concussions took me out of the game.

Neurologist: You get paid to play?

            Me: No.

Neurologist: Then why are you still playing?

I guess coming to the sport late in life AFTER American Football may not have been the best for wear and tear.

Even more eerily is that the tight head at my old club started late after playing American Football.....[emoji33]

                    Looks fantastic

Had a fought, if the cigar boxes were hung the other way up a simple pin in the lid and pin in the top with a ribbon to wrap round it would keep them closed and a measured length of ribbon either side so the lid can only open 90 degrees could make interesting storgage

Many congrat's on your labours Wolfie, looks a fine place to smoke, as long as it's warm too, you shouldn't miss smoking indoors at all.
