  • Delivered yesterday, had a great time carrying it up the stairs with the gf last night 😂.

Is it possible to just use 320g Boveda blocks, say 2 per shelf to keep the humidity stable? I’m thinking 65% will hopefully keep it consistently in the low 60’s.

From what I’ve read online they shouldn’t be air tight, there is a small gap between the door and the end on the lockable side but considering a weatherstrip rubber foam strip to keep it a bit more stable.

Cigar oasis is the end goal but for now do the people with experience with these have any answers? Thanks

horrible looking thing that looks like something that might come out from TKMax or Staples.

My cabinet has holes all along the rear of the unit too. So forget airtight! Probably helps to stop humidity building up and opening the door will create airflow. Which i do often Does still hold well at around 62-67 depending on temp. You can just put the bovedas anywhere long as you have enough - theres a table to help work out how many you need. Will be a lot I guess.

I'll try to take photo of my humidification setup.

IIRC, Hookmaker sealed the holes at the back of his unit. Martyn hasnt. And thats how its designed. I did also put a strip around the door, but not sure how much difference it makes.

          Looks lovely!

But is it fireproof? One wouldn't want to set the bed afire whilst smoking

You’re too kind Simon, I think it’s well overpriced for what it is. You could buy a brand new Klarstein for that.
