  • Rotating Cigars

Not sure if this question has been asked before on the forum.
Is it necessary to rotate cigars periodically to ensure all cigars recieve an even exposure to humidity.
For example do the cigars at the bottom of the humidor recieve the same amount of humidity as the ones at the top
if they are stacked say 3 or 4 rows high.

With your cigars in a desktop, that's unnecessary. When you get a tower, i'd find it very necessary.

Yes I agree. It's more important to change the air every now and again just by opening the box for a short period. Plus you get the added bonus of enjoying the smell when you open your humidor which has been closed for a week or two!

However, if you're smoking enough (like you should be) then your humidor will be opened regularly enough anyway!

I suppose not having many opportunities to smoke your cigars does have its plus points! You may enjoy the ones you do have time for a little more! Plus it's a darn sight cheaper too!

                      Ha! typical knewbee obsession.

Who do you think rotates 'em in all those sealed vintage boxes that everybody wants? The puro fairy? Not bloody likely. And they seem to be just fine. The only good thing with "rotating" your puros is coming across a forgotten friend.

The most import thing you need to remember is seperating the fauxhibas from the cohibas.

                      But that's just me.
