  • Rum cigars

A mate has asked to look into cigars for him. Says he used to smoke the occasional one many years and might get back in to it now I am doing it.

He is after Rum flavoured ones and to be honest I think its the vitola that is more important to him than quality. I can only find cigarillo sized or much too big ones.
Does anyone know of something like the size of a HUHC they can recommend please?

tell him to drink rum at the same time he smokes cigars......

or perhaps we can wrestle with our knowledge and think of a very sweet NC cigar that tastes kinda like rum??

yeah... i know little to nothing about non-cubans. I do know that Maker's Mark commissioned a ridiculously overpriced cigar infused with Maker's Mark. Available at many Duty Frees (only place i've seen em).

Nothing beats the Gurkha His Royal Majesty clocking in at around $750. Absolute trivialisation of the whole cigar business. Eradicates any sort of integrity Gurkha had before releasing this cigar. 20 cigars infused with an entire bottle of Louis the Fourteenth. Set price at $750 each or whatever price a box is. I remember seeing them on secondhand boards going for $400 each at some point.
Anyway... This little picture I take off Puff.com occasionally always makes me laugh. Has the title:
"I've opened up a home for the love and care of my Gurkhas:"

        Good infused cigars. Right.
PEEJAY!! You know this stuff, right? Perhaps even TJ and his coros?

I bet he smoked Phillies Blunts pal. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1413531018.513537.jpg
I've smoked one before and they're crap but as I remember they used to do a brandy or run infused one. It's highly likely to be what he means.

Did they actually taste like rum or brandy?
Or did they just smell like it?

I can't really remember, we used to empty them and make cigar solids out of them. They actually sell the wrappers without anything in them now for just that reason. Mental.

I should hope not trickle, you would lose cred for splashing on those. Like Bill Clinton.

Do they have to be rum flavoured?

Nope. But don't think I could get him into smoking a standard cigar that wouldn't be different enough for him
