Also quite useful if you lock yourself out of your windows computer - you can boot to ubuntu and recover everything....

Hats how I discovers it. It's amazing that I can do more to fix Windows from a Linux partition than I can with any tools inside Windows.

I don't dislike Windows (7 at least, I never bothered with 8.) but Ubuntu offers so much free software and just feels nice to use.

Print is dominated by Apple Macs and everyone knows all too well that they love to stealthily do major changes in software updates, nobody installs the latest OS.

To quietly remove appletalk and replace networking with a totally new protocol was crazy, all of a sudden half of the specialist kit used will not talk to the latest OS, thanks Apple!

So we currently have an old G5 mac sat in the corner as a print server so we can still access the rest of the devices.

My iPhone is on the old OS as well, having to free up 4Gb of space for the latest one is ridiculous, a ploy to make you want to update to a new phone .... no thanks!

If you can update it through iTunes on your computer you don't need to free up 4GB of data [emoji4]

It's an alternative to every desktop operating system, including OSX.

I have re-installed Yosemite, solved a little network issue and so far so good, it appears to be working fine again. Fingers crossed Unknown-2.jpeg
