So going to get one this weekend as my normal ones are driving me up the walls with wind trying to light them. So is there any brand I should stay away from? Or are they all the same? How much should I be paying?

Or if anyone has any used ones here id be glad to pay ya some cash for it

I have some of the honest John twin jet lighters, which work really well.
However, I've stopped using them since I got this: http://www.xikar.com/products/lighters/ex/
Which I absolutely adore.... It's a tad tricky in a gale - but anything other than that and it's perfect

I'm guessing the same as mine from ebay.... I'd bought that for a tenner while I waited for a couple of lighters to be delivered from elsewhere - which turned out to be identical - for three quid a piece! And I couldn't tell the difference between the three of them...

I went for this lighter which is a Xikar ELX twin jet flame. Linky - http://www.xikar.com/products/lighters/ELX/#

Have had several lighters, but this is brilliant, and wont break the bank. I have also engraved it with my name as with my Xi3 Spectre

I bought one. It played up a bit. I contacted the seller and he sent me another, without requesting the original one. Turned out the original one after a bit of usage started working fine. So gave that one to my brother. They worked out in the end a fiver each

Most jet lighters will do the job, the most crucial part is using good quality gas with few impurities. If you use cheap gas, you will find quite quickly the nozzle will clog and give out an uneven flame then eventually block completely.

First of all where do you think all these jet lighters are made? Exactly, now get on Ebay and pick the one you like the look of. 1-2 weeks delivery is about right from China/HK

Smokey is spot on with this advice. You may be getting a bargain jet flame lighter, but do not use cheap gas as it will make the lighter unusable way before it dies from natural use.

I've had a turboflame for years around ?8 from hiking type shops or online.
