  • Scobador - Help Please

    Good Afternoon All,

Trust all is well on this fine Saturday.

I have a scobador, I just need to know how people cleaned the interior and getting rid of the plastic smell before using it?

Any and all advice is most appreciated.

I'm sure someone said to fill it with newspaper and baking soda

So you use just newspaper (spread out?) and bicarbonate soda on a dish? How much bicarbonate is required?

Thanks to all for your help

Scrunched up newspaper (increased surface area) and I used an entire tub split over two plates.

Where did you find the bicarbonate mon amis?

Also, is it worth putting some old boxes in there to get some cedar aroma going on?

              Thank you very much indeed!

Bicarbonate is in the baking section of the supermarket Ross, near the flour.
