  • Big Bopper's Red Hot Pickup Thread

Thought I might as well start one instead of loads of different threads.

Sancho Panza Molino's (EDIT: box date June '99). San Cristobal De La Habana (Sep 13). Both from Stagnetto's, Gibraltar courtesy of my old man.

Nice pick-ups Bopper, the San Cris are .... Oficos?

No worries on the provenance, but have you got the date right on the SCdlH .... I think they should also have an LCdH band.

Unless they're La Fuerza, they're single banded?
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Sweet! Sangho Panza is a brand I am yet to try. Any suggestions on what's a good starting point for the brand? P.s. a review would be great!

Try the Molinos or the non plus
The belicoso is a beauty and the Sancho is fantastic if you have 3 hours spare

Is this one of the new collaborations with the Chinese?

Some new pickups courtesy of Quito and Panama airports:

                          Punch Coronations Tubos (Oct 13)

RyJ Cedro Deluxe No.3 (Dec 12)

                          Party Serie P No.2 (Dec 12)

These are the only handmade Ecuadorians I was able to pick up in spite of visiting several of the major towns in the country! Found them by chance in a booze shop in Quito on our last night. Tried one of the robusto's straight out of the box. Construction, draw and burn were all fine, flavour was fairly 'meh' and one dimensional. I'll leave them in the humi and revisit in a couple of months.

Never found a Monte I liked until my folks brought these back from Majorca for me. The age was a bonus and must be a factor, surely? These are No.3's
