    • Thanks to everyone for coming along yesterday - we had eleven in total - and for those who could not make it this time we can do it all again soon.

      An enjoyable day!

I had a few of the second 'mystery cigar' that I handed out at the end (apologies to those who did not receive one). I would be grateful if you could post a review - long or short - on this thread as we are bringing this in next year. It is not a Cuban or a Dunhill - but there is something rather special about it!
I'm sure there are greater things in life than a fine cigar ........... but right now I can't think what they might be.

      • I almost forgot to thank Martyn for another addition to my collection of un-smokeable cigars yesterday. Although I could give one of these to my City banker brother in law next time he wants a smoke.

But he saves his King Edwards for special occasions?

                • Had some like 6 months ago or however long I have been smoking cigars. Got some in multi packs. Thought they were the worst of the bunch after just a month of smoking cigars. Dread to think what I would make of them now. Do remember having to spit out little bits of Tabaco out.

                  • Martyn said yesterday that they fall apart in your mouth but you should smoke one before unilaterally condemning them.

I have. Honestly... They're not THAT bad. They rate a 40/100 for me most of the time.
I can get to the second third but that's around it.

Now... Guantanamera puritos. I actually really like those little gits. They're great little short smokes for the purposes of smoking. So I don't smoke them often... But it's nice to light up when walking the hounds.

                          • I'm really sorry to have missed this afternoon and will certainly try to make the next one.

Robert is, as you say, a Gentleman and it's a great spot.

I am dying to know what the mystery cigar was as Robert wouldn't tell me when I popped in before Christmas and he told me about the herf.

Happy New Year one and all.
