They should've kept the Equalizer similar to the old tv series and casted a mature white guy.
Now before anyone says anything… no, I'm not being racist in the slightest (I am of mixed blood myself),
as for those who remember the old series, this would've tied in better. I know it's based on a book
(it is isn't it?) but still...

I agree the character was nothing like the one from the series, if I remember rightly he was a cool rich old dude with a jaguar.

I think Edward Woodward's chr was an ex secret service man who in retirement put an advert in the paper to help people.

I've not read or seen anything of the new film to know how they have altered or "updated" it.
