  • Heard the architecture in Porto is fantastic and have fancied it for a long weekend for while. Can you still smoke cigars indoors there still? The fact that most of the worlds port come from there had nothing to do with my wanting to go....lol

In most places you can't, but from now on the weather will be improving (today got to 28 C), so you can definitely enjoy one near the beach, while drinking a nice espresso or Port... Doesn't get much better then that!

      • Watched the film Wild Tales, an Argentinian film of six short stories, at the cinema earlier this week and thought that it was very good.

        • Yeah equalizer is better but both are pretty prescriptive. If you want a man on a rampage type film then 'falling down' with Michael Douglas is rather good. Is quite old but enjoyable all the same.

Yeah. Can't think of a better 'man's life falling apart film' of the top of my head.

                  • Just finished Unbreakable that someone mentioned in here, brilliant film. I really like the lead actor, ever since I seen him in Skins. He's got a film in prison thats good and I really want to see the one where he is stuck in NI during the troubles.

                    • Watched Interstellar last night, good film but a tad longer than it needed to be. Some great thought provoking scenes though. Especially loved the part where he falls into the black hole and sees the bending of time. From the people who made Inception which I thought was a better film.

                      • I enjoyed interstellar and inception, both a bit melon bending. However I do enjoy a good melon bending from Time to time, so I thought they were good. They are probably films people either love or hate....A bit like a marmite documentary! Lol.

                          • Melon bending.. Love it. Ive not seen Memento yet, its years old but was one of the first Chris Nolan films to get famous. Will have to put it on my lovefilm list

                            • Memento is definitely worth a watch. Stick with it. About a quarter way in you get a feeling thAt the rest of the film is obvious... Its worth hanging in for the full ride.

                              • Two movies watched recently... Man of tai chi and 47 Ronin. If you hate keanu reeves, they might flip you around a bit. I was always ambivalent to him, but really like his grumpy characters like Constantine....
